You have to know where you’ve been to know where you are going. Kappa holds a special place in its heart for Fraternity history, but every chapter of our organization has unique beginnings of its own. Each plays a part in shaping us today. Read more about our chapters’ histories at Kappapedia.
We are the Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at UNC Chapel Hill. We were founded at UNC in 1958, and we have remained in the same home ever since. We are the only chapter on campus to have lived in the same home since being founded, and we are the only chapter to live in a historic home.
It is a truly great experience to live in the "Kappa Kastle" as we call it, each year we have around 30 girls live in the house. Our house mother MomV is especially attentive to everyone's needs, and our Chef Paula cooks up the best meals for all of the sisters. All of the girls that have lived in the house in the past have said that it is one of the best experiences they've had at UNC. With campus only being a 5 minute walk away, the UNC Kappa house is one of the best, and most affordable housing options for sisters.
